Game Of Thrones’ spin-off starring Kit Harrington has been all but confirmed, with his former co-star, Emilia Clarke, now weighing in on the news.
Earlier this month, it was reported that HBO had put into early development a spin-off following the banished Jon Snow’s adventures after the events of the show’s eighth season.
And despite no official confirmation from the network or the actor himself, Clarke stepped up and put fans at ease. The rumors are true.

“He has told me about it,” she told BBC. “And I know it exists. It’s happening.”
“It’s been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he’s in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington.”
The news may come as a surprise as Harrington had previously spoken of his desire to steer clear of roles that were too alike the one of the Night’s Watchman.
“Having portrayed a man who was silent, who was heroic, I feel going forward that is a role I don’t want to play any more,” he had said at the time. “It is not a masculine role that the world needs to see much more of.”

Unfortunately, Clarke is not eager to follow Harrington’s example and reverse her decision to part ways with the show.
The actress expressed eagerness to watch the upcoming House of the Dragon “as a fresh viewer”, but, though grateful for her time on the show, she is ready to move on.
“No, I think I’m done,” she clarified.
Game Of Thrones seasons 1-8 are available on DVD and Blu-ray. Spin off House of the Dragon is now filming and will premiere on August 21, 2022 in the UK.
